DAY 1  Warsaw

Warszawa - Old Town

Group's arrival to Warsaw. Meeting your guide at the Airport and transfer to the hotel. Check-in and time to relax. Short orientation city tour. Welcome dinner at the hotel restaurant.

DAY 2  Warsaw

Warszawa - Royal Castle

Highlights of your half-day tour include short documentary film explaining Warsaw history, the Royal Castle, former residence of Polish Kings, Old Town quarter, Old Market Square, the Barbican and medieval defence walls. After lunch visit to Lazienki Palace, private residence of Polish King and its evocative sculpture of Chopin surrounded by rose bushes.
Afternoon at leisure. Option: visit to the Wilanów Park and Palace, former residence of King Sobieski.

DAY 3  Warsaw - Kazimierz Dolny - Kozlowka - Lublin - Zamosc

Kazimierz Dolny - Old Town

Drive to Zamosc. En route stops at Kazimierz Dolny with its unique Renaissance and rural architecture, at Kozlowka - visit a late Baroque palace of Zamoyski family and its exhibition of socialistic realism and Lublin - visit to the Old Town area with its Cathedral.

DAY 4  Zamosc - Zwierzyniec - Guciow - Zamosc

City tour of Zamosc - called a Pearl of the Renaissance, a city which got
into the UNESCO list in 1992. It is the only Renaissance town in Poland that has more than 100 architectural monuments of significant historical and artistic value. Lunch en route. Then we go to Zwierzyniec - established in 1974, on the former Zamoyski family hunting area, covers the central Roztocze, 30 km south west of Zamosc. The area of the park in 8 482 ha however, the protection zone occupies more than 38 000 ha. Forests covering the gentle hills are composed of beech wood with admixture of fir and sycamore maple. Late afternoon – meeting with real Roztocze folklore in Zagroda Guciow – open air, living ethnographical museum. People, who are living really close to the nature. Unforgettable evening with village dinner in XIX century wooden housed. Return to Zamosc.

DAY 5  Zamosc - Lezajsk - Lancut - Rzeszow

Łańcut - Palace

Departure for Rzeszow. En route visit the Bernardine Church and Monastery in Lezajsk. The place is famous for its Baroque organ, certainly one of the most famous in Poland. Continue to Łańcut for a guided visit to the Lubomirski and Czartoryski Family castle with its unique Chinese and Turkish apartments and great collection of art and paintings. The tour also includes a visit to an interesting museum of horse-drawn carriages. In the evening, arrival for overnight in Rzeszow.

DAY 6  Rzeszow - Zakopane

Dunajec River Gorge - Raft Ride

Departure for the winter capital of Poland Zakopane. En route beautiful Carpathian landscapes, hills, forests and small villages. Then you are invited on the highlanders' rafts. Shooting down the Dunajec River through the Pieniny Gorge on the highlanders' rafts, is believed to be one of the greatest attractions of Poland. While on a raft navigated by two highlander rafters, you admire one of the most beautiful river gorges in Europe The trip takes two or three hours, depending on the water level of the river. After lunch break in the regional inn we continue our drive to Zakopane.

DAY 7  Zakopane

Zakopane - Górale (Highlanders)

Zakopane is known as a capital of winter sports and mountain tourism. It is, as well, the centre of the Highlanders culture. They cultivate their tradition, which reflects in their folk costume, traditional wooden architecture, glass paintings, etc. We will visit most interesting examples of highlanders wooden architecture, after walk through central Krupowki promenade you will board the funicular to the top of Gubalowka Mountain – an excellent view over the Tatra Mountains awaits you ... In the evening Highlander’s Dinner with folklore dancing and singing, full of colours and
tastes.

DAY 8  Zakopane - Chocholow - Wadowice - Kalwaria Zeb.- Cracow

Kalwaria Zebrzydowska - Franciscan Monastery

On the way to Cracow airport you will admire Chocholow - the living village, which seems like an open – air ethnographical museum with 200 years old wooden houses and cottages – examples of unique Highlanders architecture. Next continue to Wadowice - the birthplace of the Pope John Paul II, visit to the Pope’s house, which is now a museum. Last stop in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska where is a Bernadine Monastery with a number of chapels, shrines and bridges, altogether over 40 structures built along the paths. Lunch en route.

DAY 9  Cracow

Krakow - Main Market Square (Rynek)

Morning sightseeing of Cracow including :Wawel Royal Castle with its Royal and State Apartments displaying marvellous collection of original Flemish tapestries; Wawel Royal Cathedral - for centuries a burial place of Polish kings, Market Square with Renaissance Cloth Hall with numerous souvenir, Ghotic St.Mary’s Basilica, Collegium Maius, the oldest college of Jagiellonian University, founded in 1364 year. Lunch & time for shopping. Afternoon visit the 700-year-old Wieliczka Salt Mine, an unforgettable three miles of underground chambers, caves, chapels and statues all sculptured from salt. Option en route: In the industrial suburb of Nowa Huta, visit the ark-shaped church of the Queen o Poland, closely associated with the solidarity movement.

Option: Folklore entertainment at dinner.

DAY 10  Cracow - Ojców - Pieskowa Skała - Czestochowa

Ojcow - Way to the Pieskowa Skała Castle

Visit to Ojcowski National Park, then via limestone Hercules' Cub and castle on the rocks in Pieskowa Skala we continue our drive to Częstochowa via fantastic jurassic landscapes. Lunch en route Late afternoon first orientation visit to Jasna Gora Monastery.

DAY 11  Czestochowa - Warsaw

Czestochowa - Black Madonna Icon

Guided visit to Jasna Gora Monastery, Gothic Chapel of Our Lady with miraculous Black Madonna icon, Basilica, the Treasury, Renaissance
Knight Hall. Lunch at local restaurant Afternoon at leisure Farewell Dinner

DAY 12  Czestochowa - Zelazowa Wola - Warszawa

Żelazowa Wola - Chopin's House

Departure for Warsaw Airport via Zelazowa Wola, Frederic Chopin's Birthplace. This Manor House stands in a lovely park and houses a museum dedicated to the composer. After lunch we continue drive to Warsaw Airport.
